Between this class and the 23 Things class that I am taking I have learned a lot about the information highway. I have first learned that I am way behind the times and hope that I can catch up quickly. I am missing so many students by not being able to incorporate a lot of this into my classroom right now. I never knew about checking out the credibility of information, I thought you just type in the search and there it is. Last class period was very helpful in helping determine if information is credible or not. I would never have known that I could control where my information was coming from by just typing in a suffix after the dot on my search. I have been guilty of typing in a search and clicking on the items on the first page and the first page only. I know that students will do this unless I teach them what I have learned.
It is amazing, I have learned, all the things that are out there on the net. One thing in particular I learned was the ability to translate text into different languages with just the click of a button. No wonder people are able to communicate with each other from all around the world.
